Which are you? The Visioner or the Detailer?

I went to a Dr John F. Demartini talk last night, and as always he was inspiring. He delivers his message with style, charisma and 100% personal commitment. There was so much to take away.

Listening to him is like drinking from a fire-hydrant - you get a lot of water and you can get blown away in the process. One thing I came away with, is the realisation of the 2 roles needed in a relationship (be in personal or founding a start-up business). You need someone with vision to create, to give birth, and to start. And then, importantly, you need someone with an unstoppable attention span to focus on the detail.

It’s rare to find someone who plays both roles to the same strength. Usually we have one which is in our personal “dna”. Mine is vision, and lucky for me I am surrounded with people who can deliver beautifully on the details.
