This is what I wrote back to her:-
Some good creative sites in this article. One thing about all of them, was that they were “remarkable” - i.e. you would actually take the trouble to remark about them to someone. That’s the 1st rule of spreading the virus - make it remarkable enough - make it memorable - make it “purple”.
The problem with most clients, is that in theory they love this kind thinking. When it comes to execution, however, most clients settle for “safe”. Safe just ensures that no-one will be upset, offended, alarmed or startled by your website.
Safe is boring, safe is not memorable, and safe is not remarkable. Pity.
