Wind power costs 'worthwhile', says Eskom

Um, dear Eskom, not so long ago (a month back) you dumped idea of building the 2nd nuke station as you didn’t have the funds. Nuke was too costly you said. Now you say wind is only slightly more expensive than coal. Is that total cost of ownership? (building, running, environmental costs and moth-balling costs when it needs to be shut down). I suspect wind would be the cheapest considering all of these.

And BTW, Eskom, we have been saying this about wind to you for years. What took you so long?
