Top Gear BBC Marauder video.

Vehicle developed in South Africa, and of course filmed by Top Gear here too.

Nice work they did on that Hummer!

Finaly, a website, I could, sumbitt items too daily!
I think I will become one of their biggest contributors. I’m not perfect at grammar, punctuation or writing - far from it - but I’m also not paid to be an editor or publisher of news websites. Almost daily I see something published in a South African news site that makes my jaw drop - and I’m not talking about the content, I’m talking about the shocking state of spell-checking and proofing.
Click through and read some of the blunders.

Dear Eskom…
Please rather use these. Same job, just nicer. Much.
I’m sure you can even get sponsorship from advertisers to brand them subtly.

Who owns Facebook?

Bet you didn’t know Bono was a shareholder?

Oh and South Africa’s own Naspers / Media24 owns nearly 30% of DST which owns 10% of Facebook so that makes them roughly 3% owners!

Silver is the new black (internationally).
But in South Africa it’s a slightly different story: “White was overwhelmingly the most popular vehicle color choice in the region, at 35 percent, which is the highest percentage of any region covered in the report. Silver (24 percent) takes second and black/black effect combine for 14 percent.”
I guess we knew this, but it’s interesting to see the stats.

zen bones...

Steve Mathew's Blog

OK, so why the zen bones thing?

About 20 years ago I stumbled upon a book called "Zen Flesh, Zen Bones". Being vegetarian - the "flesh" bit didn't grab me, but the short pithy Zen stories inside it, did.

Ever since then my web nick has been zenbones, my Hotmail, my Gmail address, you name it. It's kinda stuck.

Is the blog about Zen? Nope.
