Vodacom. Out with the green & blue. In with the red & white.
So it’s the worst kept secret that the Vodacom branding will be dumped n favour of their parent’s Vodafone’s red and white branding.
That means their “globe” has been taken down from their Midrand HQ too. Love the pic snapped by someone who spotted the truck with globe nearly taking out a bridge.

As a footnote though, as much as I like the Vodafone branding, I think the name Voda”fone” isn’t as strong (and relevant) as Voda”com”. Phones are just a part of the offering, comms on the other hand is what it’s about.

OK, so why the zen bones thing?

About 20 years ago I stumbled upon a book called "Zen Flesh, Zen Bones". Being vegetarian - the "flesh" bit didn't grab me, but the short pithy Zen stories inside it, did.

Ever since then my web nick has been zenbones, my Hotmail, my Gmail address, you name it. It's kinda stuck.

Is the blog about Zen? Nope.
